Roberta C.M. DeCaprio is a freelance writer, writing all genre of romance and women’s mainstream fiction. As a contributing editor for A.B.L.E.D. WOMEN, a publication dedicated to the needs of disabled women, she writes a sexuality column. Having a walking impairment herself since birth, she has insight into the problems other physically challenged women face. As a child, Roberta’s disability kept her from running and playing like other children, and so she sought comfort in books. Reading developed a love for the written word and she was inspired to try her own hand at writing. She began to compose poetry, and is the author of “Once Upon A Sonnet,” a self-published collection. Several of her poems have won awards and are published in anthologies.

A graduate of the Writers Digest School and Cornell Cooperative Extension, she is a member of The International Woman’s Writers Guild and Romance Writers of America; also RWA’s Futuristic, Fantasy and Paranormal special interest group. For two years she held the position of newsletter editor for Capital Region ,RWA, her local chapter; interviewing such authors as Elaine Raco-Chase, Valerie Hansen, Barbara Daly, Sue-Ellen Welfonder, Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, Mary J. Forbes, Sharron McClellan, and Mariah LeGrand for the monthly publication.

The Vanity, by Roberta C.M. DeCaprio is a paranormal romantic suspense that is based in modern times but begins in the past.

Roberta is a master at sub-plots, which go on throughout her novels. Her characters come alive on the pages and the reader feels the terror the heroine experiences.

Although The Vanity is a complete story on its own, we meet Jules and A.J. in Ms. DeCaprio's first paranormal, Coma Coast. I highly recommend reading both.

This author has a vivid imagination and always brings her stories to an ending that leaves all questions answered and the characters destined for a happily every after life.
