1) Tell us about the main characters in Devil's Due.

Jezlynn Chambers is the main character, who happens to be six characters in one body. In this story she is put in all the situations she most wants to avoid.

2) What are your plans for the future?

I have several writing projects I’m working on. I want to expand into historical fiction and contemporary romance, although I have a feeling they might turn into contemporary paranormal romances. My goal is to get at least one of them finished this year. SciFi and fantasy ideas have been cluttering my brain recently, so they might work back into the schedule.

3) How does Devil’s Due relate to your other amazing books?

Devil’s Due is the continuation of the science fiction series started in Rogue’s Rules and Loser’s Game.

4) When and how often do you sit down to write? And where?

Not often enough recently, way too many distractions. I try to write two to three hours a day, but work, family, friends, volunteering, gardening and the ancillaries of authoring like critiquing and reviewing, deserve their time, too. I have a desk where I do all my work, although I always have a small tablet to write down ideas including scenes I want to include.

5) What was the catalyst that got you started into writing your amazing books?

Too much time on my hands? I don’t know. I started while my children were teenagers, later than most writers. Come to think of it--maybe it was parenting through those teen years that got me started!

6) What was the hardest part of Devil’s Due to write?

Making sure the six personalities of the main character were recognizable as separate and complete individuals. Hopefully, the reader will come to recognize each character by their movement and the way they communicate.

7) Describe what it feels like to know that your sixth book is about to be released?

Exhilarated. It feels like maybe I might be a writer, maybe the first book wasn’t a fluke.

8) How long did it take you to complete Devil’s Due?

Too long--years. I’m a slow writer and this was my ‘learning’ book. It’s been rewritten several times, including dividing it into the three books which comprise the series so far. I’m debating whether a forth book is needed.

9) How did you come up with your idea for Devil’s Due?

I wanted to write a character that was very different and placed in situations that seemed impossible in our world. After recent events, maybe only the mode of transportation is different, the tortuous and dangerous situations more common than expected.

10) Out of all the characters in all your books, which is your favorite?

When I am writing, the characters in the current project are my favorites. Once the book is completed, it’s like choosing your favorite child, or best friend among many, nearly impossible. I love them all. Even some of the evil ones, bad being so much fun to write.

11) How do you choose your titles?

Through a slow process of elimination. As I write the story I think about titles, write down ideas, cross some off, add a few more, and combine others. Eventually something comes together and tells me this is the right title.

12) What guided you into the Futuristic/Fantasy/Sci-Fi Romance genre?

It is one of my favorite genres to read, although I enjoy many different genres. For me, this genre relates to old-fashioned fairytales, folklore and mythology, only set in the future rather than ‘once upon a time.’
