Manufacturer Description

When Oliver Cromwell’s Parliament tightens its grip on former Royalists, John FitzStephen and his son sail to America where he owns a land tract. John thinks he has left religious and political strife in England but he is wrong, for many colonists brought their bigotry to America. John hopes he can leave his love of sailing the world and begin a new life in New Haven Colony. He finds friends, and a foe, Puritan zealot, Reverend Joseph Foxe.

Meet Mary Brockway

Mary Stevens Brockway was born in Arkansas, but came to Washington State when she was seven, so has grown the webbed feet of this wonderful green state. She has four sons who live in the Seattle area, and a daughter, who lives in Alaska, where many of our motor-home trips have taken us.

Mary loves history; family, American, world, and ancient. The genre is her favorite reading material, fiction or non-fiction. She has conducted two writing groups for many years. Besides her family, researching, reading and writing, Mary loves seeing historical sites and has traveled over the world to visit them.
